Jism 2- India’s 1st Erotic Thriller, trailer released on Twitter

Sunny Leone’s Bollywood debut film Jism 2 trailer has been unveiled on Twitter on Friday as promised by director Pooja Bhatt.

The first look of the trailer featuring the Canadian porn star Sunny Leone takes to the level of titillation which many would find too hot to resist. It is typical Sunny Leone style – sensual and obviously sexy. The film is expected to raise the bar of sensuality in Hindi cinema to a whole new level.

The Censor Board has given “A” certification to the film’s first trailer. Anyhow, Pooja had decided to release all trailers, promos and songs from her film. The director did not make any changes on the schedule of the trailer and release the uncensored song of Jism 2 on Internet.

Sunny will be romancing Saheb Biwi Aur Gangste actor Randeep Hooda and Yeh Saali Zindagi actor Arunoday Singh. The first trailer as soon as it was released got great appreciation from Sunny Leone’s fans.

In the Jism 2, Sunny Leone has depicted the character of a beautiful, hot and shameless seductive porn star who is employed by a confident intelligent officer ‘Arunoday Singh’ to trap a feared assassin ‘Randeep Hooda’. In course of time, she is caught in a strong love triangle with the intelligence officer and the assassin.

Sunny has justified her character in ‘Jism 2′ by extremely using her hot, seducing, sizzling, erotic body, which is considered the best in the industry.

The makers of the movie has also released a new poster of the film, along with its first trailer. The poster on Twitter features Sunny Leone and Randeep Honda.

Directed by Pooja Bhatt and produced by Dino Morea and Pooja Bhatt, the film stars international porn star Sunny Leone, Arunoday Singh and Randeep Hooda. The movie will hit the silver screens on August 3, 2012.

Aamir Khan’s “moral” marriage code of conduct

Bollywood’s ” aam aadmi” (ordinary man) Aamir Khan writes in his column titled ‘ It’s your entire life — not just an event’, in The Hindu about his thoughts on marriage:

Let’s give marriage the importance it deserves — in every sense, financial, emotional, mental.

Marriage is a terribly important part of life. It’s a partnership you form, a companion you choose, hopefully for the rest of your life. Someone who helps you, who supports you and vice versa. The way we view marriage and the way we approach it determines how our life could end up being.

Today, I want to largely address youngsters, because most of you who are older are already married and for better or worse have already made your choices.

….Should you agree to spend the rest of your life with someone just because he/she carries an attractive label such as IIT or MBBS? Is one marrying the person or the label? Shared interests, like-mindedness, companionship, shared sensibility, sense of humour — shouldn’t all this matter?

….Instead of spending all that money on the wedding day, why not decide to take the amount set aside for the girl’s wedding and give it to her to use to kick-start her new life with her spouse? Instead of that lavish function, why not just have a simple, sharbatwedding and give the girl the money instead? It will be so useful for her life? I believe sharbat weddings are a great idea. Call as many people as you desire, serve them a soft drink and say thank you for coming and for blessing the newlyweds.

Have fun. Enjoy the day. Make merry. But with simplicity.

…And please take your time over that decision. Understand, probe, check, go deep. The better you do this, the happier life is likely to be. Take the step of marrying only when you are fully satisfied about the character and temperament of the person you are marrying.

…. Should we not invest in our daughter’s education instead of saving up for her dowry? Make her so accomplished and independent that she is capable of crafting her own future, and becomes the master of her own happiness. Then she won’t need a greedy, useless groom to complete her life. Let her marry a person who respects her. Let her marry a man who she believes is worthy of her. Whom she is happy to spend the rest of her life with.

Why so many former pinups in the Indian parliament?

Doordarshan, kept showing Jaya Bachchan’s face during the induction of fellow former Bollywood starlet Rekha. Rekha was always rumored to have a thing going with Jaya’s husband Amitabh back when they were all stars.

India has the world’s worst famous people. They want all the adulation (and perks like unmerited posts in the government), but none of the “baseless” rumors, malicious gossip and catty remarks. But this has been a particularly good spring for schadenfreude.  

First, there was a long-running bit of journalistic comedy (yes!) after the Indian Express devoted the entire front page to a non-existent coup.  (I know, I know: “We never used the C word!”… tell it to your lawyer).  

Then everybody piled on to attack a rather clever, 60-year-old political cartoon in a stunning show of solidarity with India’s otherwise-mostly-still-despised erstwhile untouchables, the Dalits. (It shows B.R. Ambedkar, the Dalit politician who wrote India’s constitution, riding on a snail labeled “Constitution” while then-Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru urges the beast onward with a whip.  The trouble is now it’s in the school textbooks, and people have decided it looks like Nehru is whipping Ambedkar, even though the Dalit leader is also holding a whip).

And, finally, today Bollywood queen bee and member of parliament Jaya Bachchan (wife of Amitabh Bachchan, mother of Abhishek Bachchan, mother-in-law of Aishwarya Rai, and an actress in her own right) reportedly blew a gasket because the state-run television channel, Doordarshan, kept showing her face during the induction of fellow former Bollywood starlet Rekha into the Rajya Sabha as well.  (The honorable members of India’s version of the House of Lords later denied that Jaya made a fuss).

….The subtext here was that Rekha was always rumored to have a thing going with Jaya’s husband back when they were all stars. In all likelihood there was nothing to it, since Bollywood’s idea of PR is to leak rumors of such “link-ups” between the stars of upcoming releases.  

Tell it to Shekhar Gupta, the once respected editor-in-chief of the Indian Express, who also seems determined to trash his own reputation. … For awhile some folks tried valiantly ….. But in the end it all turned into a big joke, which long-time Outlook magazine editor Vinod Mehta described as “the mother of all mistakes”…

Are Indians oversensitive? Was Nehru really that skinny? Why are there so many former pinups in the Indian parliament? Why are Bollywood rumors always “baseless”? ..And, of course, should newspaper editors really be fighting against free speech?

Shah Rukh Khan – The Real Angry Man in Bollywood

Is there more to the story than what is being reported in the media, or is it a simple case of a stress-fuelled midlife crisis that has finally snapped Khan into picking fights with friends?

Shahrukh Khan may have many a time played the bad guy in the movies but in real life is always loved and adored by one and all. In the recent past though Shahrukh has been in the news more for his controversial fights than anything else. It looks like Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘brawl days’ are still not over. A few months after his infamous fight with Farah Khan’s husband Shirish Kunder, the star finds him in the midst of yet another controversy and this time it involves the Indian Premier League (IPL).

With the original bad boy of Bollywood, Salman Khan, having tamed his wayward ways of late, it seems that King Khan is eager to fill that throne, irrespective of how many punches he needs to throw to get there.

Bollywood King Khan’s ‘wankhede brawl & ban’ has comes very soon after the lucrative T-20 tournament was rocked by a sting operation conducted by a TV news channel, in which five IPL players were purportedly caught on camera indulging in spot-fixing and other “murky deals.” The actor has been caught in controversy at the Wankhede before when he was seen smoking much to the disapproval of many.

In the past five years, the award-winning actor has slowly but surely managed to alienate himself from several members of the Indian film fraternity with a spate of brawls in his wake, while his own personal life has come under scrutiny with rumour mills churning that all is not blissful in the marital bond between Khan and wife Gauri.

SRK has never spared anyone close to him, so to say. It may be her partner friend Juhi Chawla, Aamir Khan, Shirish Kunder, Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Farah Khan, Amar Singh, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and of all his onetime ‘chuddy buddy’ Salman Khan !!

For those who can’t recall, the brawl between the two superstars erupted nearly three years ago at Katrina Kaif’s birthday bash, where the verbal sparring almost headed towards fisticuffs before Aamir Khan intervened and broke them apart.  The war still continues, with Salman saying at Mukesh Ambani’s party for Sachin Tendulkar’s 100th 100: “Sachin kaa record todnaa mushkil hi nahi naamumkin hein. Aur yeh Don nahi main bol rahaa hun (No one can break Sachin’s record; and it’s not Don, but me saying this).”

One-time best buddies, Khan and Arjun Rampal were inseparable – even spending New Year’s Eve together in Dubai – but all went sour post “Ra.One” and the rift is for all to see. The rift was also over an argument the Rampals had with Khan, defending Gauri when the actor’s ‘close relationship’ with co-star Priyanka Chopra came under scrutiny. Khan wasn’t impressed with the intrusion and Mrs Rampal made it clear whose side she was on.

Earlier in 2012, the superstar actor’s professional & personal frustration finally culminated in the ‘slap-gate’ affair, which saw him allegedly assault former friend and filmmaker Shirish Kunder, husband of Farah Khan, also a close family friend of SRKs. Relations soured between the three when SRK rejected “Tees Maar Khan”, Kunder’s directorial venture.

Khan’s status as a faithful husband was never brought into question. Not until people started to whisper a certain name: Priyanka Chopra. It was widely gossiped that Khan’s co-star in several films, PC and him apparently started to get cozy during the shoot of “Don 2”. But those whispers became talk when stories filtered out that Gauri refused to let Priyanka into her house for the film’s wrap up party. Bollywood pundits say, ‘all is not well in the Khan household. Both SRK & Gauri has not been snapped together since quite a while”

Could that have given rise to the anger and frustration that led to yet another ‘slap-gate’ incident at Wankhede Stadium? He only can tell.

Sai Paranjpe: a leading women director of Indian cinema

Saeed Jaffrey, the cigarette shop owner Lallan Miyan had a customer Siddharth aka Farooq Shaikh, who unluckily couldn’t smoke. And thus, on the sets of the 1981 comedy Chashme Buddoor, director Sai Paranjpe had to take it on herself to teach her hero how to puff his way into the scene.

Captured by ace lensman Jagdish Aurangabadkar, this picture shows how Sai was a hands-on filmmaker. In India, where women smokers are still looked down upon, Sai had no qualms teaching her male lead actor Farooq how to smoke. As the two actors stare at their director, Sai lights up with a coir rope hanging from the cigarette shop.
And those were the days when Coke had still not made its second entry into the subcontinent. So there was the celebrated replacement Cola – Campa! And there was Ship matches. And of course, there was the absence of designer wardrobe, director’s hats, and too many assistants. There was a saree-clad filmmaker who took the reins of her project and led it forward. MAY 11th was the centenary of the birth of Saadat Hassan Manto—storyteller, Urdu scribe, and a refugee of India‘s bloody partition. A handful of newspapers have paid tribute. Writers and playwrights, in India and Pakistan, marked the date in their own way.

Born in colonial India in the lush western state of Punjab, Manto translated Russian and French novels into Urdu, wrote radio plays and Bollywood films, and produced one of the subcontinent’s most potent collections of 20th-century fiction. But few seem to recall him in India. Is it because he was a Muslim who left Bombay for Lahore after partition? Or is it because he wrote in Urdu, one of India’s many languages and the national language of Pakistan?

Although Manto is remembered as a writer of short fiction, Ayesha Jalal, his grandniece and a historian, described him as a “terrific writer of memoir”. His punchy stories are a mix of experience, imagination and fierce candour. For example, “Khol Do” (or “Open It”), considered to be one his best works, is a horrifying tale about cross-border violence among refugees. It considers the fate of a father who has been desperately searching for his daughter. When he ultimately finds her on a hospital bed inside a refugee camp, he assumes she is dead. But when the doctor enters and asks him to open the windows (“Khol do” he says), the “body” moves. Responding to the doctor, the girl’s “lifeless” hands untie the cord that holds her shalwar (pajamas) up and she “weakly” pushes it down her legs. Her father is jubilant: “My daughter is alive” he exclaims. The doctor, aware of the misunderstanding (and its implications for what she has suffered), breaks out in a cold sweat.

Manto’s work made many people uncomfortable, including fellow Urdu authors within the Progressive Writers Association, who used their work to advocate for social justice. He was frequently charged with obscenity. If my stories are intolerable, he told college students in Bombay in the early 1940s, it is because the world that I write about is intolerable.

His stories about the partition were particularly distressing. In “Thanda Gosht” (“Cold Flesh” or “Cold Meat“), a rioter recounts the story of how he abducted a “beautiful” woman only to discover later that she had been dead for sometime. The story, like his harrowed memory, is fractured: it’s up to the reader to conclude when the man realised he had abducted a dead body.

Manto left Bombay, where he was a popular scriptwriter, for Lahore in 1948. Like his character in “A Tale of 1947″—the young, troubled Mumtaz—he did not choose to leave. He left, like many at the time, because of a deep sense of loss and insecurity. He has since made a comeback in India via translations, mostly in English. But aficionados of Urdu lament that the language he wrote in is no longer courted with the reverence it once enjoyed. After Independence Urdu, the preferred language of Muslim royalty and the mother-tongue of many Muslims in India, was targeted by right-wing Indian nationalists. Hindi, India’s official language, was “revived”, scrubbing it of Urdu with which it had shared an indistinguishable vocabulary (if not script) for centuries.

Yet this doesn’t seem to have worried Manto. “A language is not made, it makes itself,” he wrote. “And no amount of human effort can kill a language.”

This news will cheer up some diehard fans of Bollywood mother Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Aishwarya tops the list of the ideal celebrity mothers in Bollywood.

According to an online survey Ash shares this status with her Hollywood counterpart Angelina Jolie.

After facing lot of flak for her ever increasing post pregnancy bulge, this online voting will come as good news for Aishwarya.

The survey was conducted by matrimonial portal Shaadi.com to find out the Bollywood diva who has the qualities of being an ideal mother and if Indians see her fit the role well.

It seems the voters have been impressed by Ash’s motherhood. Aishwarya gave birth to Aaradhya in November last year and since then she has dedicated all her time and energy towards the new born. So much so that she has compromised her own fitness and gained unimaginable amount of weight.

But this did not stop her fans to vote for the beautiful lady.

Altogether 54 per cent of the respondents voted for the former Miss World, Karisma Kapoor followed by 27 per cent votes as the ideal mother.

Malaika Arora Khan and Lara Dutta were the other contenders as the ideal celebrity mom in the survey.

Actress Angelina Jolie was voted the top mother from Hollywood with 67 per cent respondents.

The survey further revealed that Indians feel that National Award winning actress Priyanka Chopra would make an ideal mother once she attains motherhood as she got 30 per cent of the votes followed by Kareena Kapoor.

Yesteryear actress Hema Mailini and her daughter Esha Deol were voted the ‘Most popular celebrity mother-daughter duo’ who make a great pairing and share a bond.
